Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 26, 2026
This policy describes how NITS handles information when you use its website and application services.
1. Information we handle
- Account and contact information: details you provide when registering, signing in, or contacting us.
- Connected-account information: encrypted OAuth credentials and the Gmail address associated with a mailbox you connect.
- Database connection information: connection details you save, including passwords protected using the app's configured encryption key.
- Service and job data: cleanup rules, report results, operational logs, and the limited message details needed to display requested Gmail results.
- Technical data: session data and basic request information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the services.
2. How information is used
We use information to provide and secure accounts, connect to Gmail and databases at your direction, run requested reports and cleanup jobs, maintain the services, and respond to support or contact requests. We do not sell personal information.
3. Gmail and database access
The app accesses a connected Gmail mailbox only to provide features you request, such as mailbox insights, message listing, or cleanup rules. Review each rule and its mailbox scope before enabling it. You can disconnect a mailbox from the Mailboxes page; this removes its saved app credentials and mailbox-specific rules.
Database reports connect to the database you select. Custom database credentials used by asynchronous reports are saved in the app's encrypted connection storage. Do not connect a system unless you are authorized to do so.
4. Storage and retention
Account, connection, and rule information is retained while needed to operate your account and the features you use. Asynchronous job results may temporarily contain report data or limited Gmail message details so the results can be displayed. Completed and failed job records are eligible for cleanup after 24 hours when a later job is submitted; deletion may therefore occur later than 24 hours. Operational logs may be retained separately for troubleshooting and security.
5. Service providers and sharing
We use service providers that support hosting, databases, sessions and background jobs, email delivery, and integrations you authorize, including Google APIs for Gmail. Information is shared with them only as needed to operate the requested service, protect it, or meet legal obligations. Their own privacy terms also apply.
6. Security and your choices
We use safeguards such as encrypted storage for connected credentials and access checks for account-specific data. No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account secure, use only integrations you trust, and disconnect accounts you no longer want linked.
7. Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact page.
